Illegal Alien is a project focused on telling the stories of Mexican immigrants through a study of three different perspectives within this topic: Those immigrants who tried to cross the border and died in the attempt, those who crossed and now live illegally in the United States, and those who were brought by their parents as kids and are now at risk of being deported if the government decides to repeal DACA. The book follows a system designed to materialize these stories with the ultimate goal of generating empathy and inspire proactiveness.

During that time, the members of the band were going through a lot of personal problems that ended up influencing the content of the music. The use of transparent materials serves as a metaphor for the rumors and histories revealed in the songs.
